As promised, here is the papa fox of the kits I photographed last weekend. He made a 15-second appearance and I was lucky to get the shot because last year I never once photographed one of the adults. The image was taken at first light.

Thanks HB -- I just loaded up the truck so I can be back at the site before daylight tomorrow. These foxes are taking me away from the Great Horned Owls I'd been photographing but a man has to have priorities!

I find "Friends and Family" such a pleasant place to hang an image, I don't think about the critique galleries much anymore. I really haven't been posting much of my work in recent months but I still comment once in awhile when I see something I really like. Take care, HB.

What an expression! You can tell he's really intent on something in his field of vision. Beautiful lighting, Danny.

Thanks Julie. He was probably trying to figure out where that "tent" came from all of the sudden.

Hi Reza -- I know this is a "critique" website but my three favorite words are "I love it." Thanks!

Hi Danny, this is a real neat image and IMHO far, far better than the one posted in Wildlife. I would just remove the grasses & repost there. Top shot. :)
