I liked the lighting and chose to keep it a little dark, your thoughts on that would be appreciated.

Oh yeah, Denise, that rocks. I like keeping it dark and would go .. partially .. darker. I used a curves adjustment layer
to increase contrast (S-curve), inverted the mask, and painted that back in just on the background where the water droplets are.

I like it a lot Denise. The water creates a bright central part so
I think you did good to leave the image bit darker. What I like here is that
you got eye contact in a splashing water image, we don't see that
often. I would probably sharpen the face a bit more if possible
and center the bird more to the left in the middle of the frame.

Denise my dear I think this is awesome! I believe I rather prefer your original as it looks more natural and unprocessed. At least to me. Or at least just a little darker only at the very top say. The contrast seems a bit too high here also. Kid stuff for you really on the tweaks--otherwise a wonderful shot!

Wonderful shot. Great water splash. I like the placement of the bird in the frame.

Hi Denise, what I like here is how the head and eye pop so well, from all the sprayed water droplets. Overall, very well captured.

    Denise:

Tremendous action here, what a bath! I would be inclined to do the sharpening on the head, and leave the tonality as is.

    Always fun with James.

Nice behaviour shot. All that splashing and you managed to get a clear eye and peak. Great timing.
