OK, I tried for a different look here. What do you think?

I deliberately left the light triangle behind the vase and the back edge of the table because I think it gives the image some depth. I wish I has some flowers that were a bit bigger to counter balance the vase. But I didn't.
Perhaps the color is too strong in the vase??

Another lovely image, Cheryl! I like the light in the BG except for the triangle - maybe if you toned it down to match the other lighting? Beautiful vase - I love the strong color because it matches the strong color of the flowers and because it brings much added interest to the composition and acts as an anchor to keep all the white from "floating away".

I also like the soft swirl of color at the base of the vase...beautiful!

    Wow, Julie likes it! :D
(I didn't think you would like the triangle. lol I like the idea of just toning it down. best of "keep or delete" :))

    Beautiful image!

Here's another vote for eliminating or toning down the triangle to the vase's right. I probably wound prefer elimination.

Very nice, Cheryl. I agree with your assessment that larger flowers would be nice because I feel the vase kind of dominates the image as it is. That said though, I do still like the image. The pattern of colors in the vase adds a lot of interest, and I like the subtle texture in the BG.

    Hey Cheryl,
I really like the Vase....flowers not so much as they do seem disconnected....perhaps shortening the stem?

I agree with Roman and would be happy with a shot of just the vase. :)

That is one fabulous vase! The colors work really well. I think you are right that the flowers need to be a bit larger.
