    This is one of the last in the series of the flicker images taken three weeks ago. He was chasing the european starlings and I was able to capture him in a low flight pose.

    Judy, another great shot, blurred wings work for me in this shot.

    Fantastic flight image, Judy Lynn, made even better by the colorful background. This series was a treat, thanks for sharing it. Wish it had a happy ending for the flickers.

    Judy;

    Very nice dorsal display with flared primaries, nice that there is no merge of the bill/wing.

    In a perfect world, I would prefer an all green background, but he is well below the top of the tree line, and it is a very fine shot as is.

    Cheers

    Mind blowing. These are so difficult to get in flight. Just outstanding.

    Pretty neat pose, and great colours. I especially love the yellow shafts! I wouldn't mind seeing less room above (you could crop close to half the space above - the resulting pano-ish comp could prove to be interesting).

    Surely you jest.... Love the flared wingtips, the BKGR, and the sharpness. And yes to a pano-crop.

    Love this shot Judy. Nice sharp eye contact combined with a nice feel of motion... A very difficult shot to pull off. I agree with the Pano crop suggestion.
