    Default Black tailed godwit

From a hide i photographed this beautifull bird. Too bad it was very very cloudy, as you can see in the picture. I already lighten it up very much. f6,3 iso 200, 1/1000e canon 400 2.8 with canon 1,4 tc. Critiques and comments much welcome.

    Edit:Placed a sharpened version

hi- no mention of any exposure compensation used here, getting the exposure close in camera is a good start as lightening in pp will introduce noise, as presented I would just lighten the mid Tom
noes a little and sharpen the bird just a tad more. would also consider losing the green strip across the top.
like the open beak pose, good ha and catchlight in the eye.
    keep em coming

They look great in their breeding plummage. I like the open bill showing the tongue, and the low angle works nice. The green line looks distracting and the overall composition would be better without it.

Agree on all points by Lance !!! I see the white area by wing which would probably not stand any more light !!! Easy fix on PS for mid tones Really like this image !!!

    Agree with above.
Sometimes the light and weather are just not there. Not much you can do about it except go back another time. I think you did as well as can be expected.
