    Ovidiu, I love the color combination and the composition you chose for this macro image but I do find myself wishing more of it was in focus.

    Ovidiu, I often like very shallow DOF, but I'm with Jules on this one that more in focus would be good. Excellent composition and colors.

    Agree with you that DOF is shallow on this one. This flower was not fully developed and the yellow stamens did not have something to draw attention (unlike the first pulsatila image I have posted, where stamens have more details) and that's why I've tried a shallow DOF.
    I appreciate the critique and thank you for this.
    Unfortunately the flowers are now wilted, so I'll have to wait the next spring for another try.

    I would hang the two next to each other, demonstrating the differences and the best of each.
    if only, I got images that cool! :)

    Lovely colors and focus on the center of the flower. Like others, I'd like more to be in focus.
