    Default Wood Frogs

Been awhile since I posted in this forum. I took this at one of two small vernal ponds on our property in which we get lots of wood frogs, spring peepers, and bullfrogs. Your comments and critiques would be most appreciated!

    Olympus SP-550 UZ
    f4.5 @ 1/25, ISO 200, -1.3 EV
Aperture priority mode, pattern metering, cloudy WB
Processed in PS CS2; curves adjustment, slight saturation boost, cropped to pano, cloned out a number of spots on the water surface, noise reduction, and blurred the BG slightly to help remove noise

Love the low perspective. Definately a cool image. I kind of wish the RH frog wasn't there though. The LH frog's position and gaze is great. With the other guy turned away it kind of takes away from the other's pleasing positioning. That pond would definately be worth working a bit.

Thanks Al and Bob. I work this pond quite a bit during the spring, so you can expect to see more frog photos from me. :)

Bob, I do wish the RH frog had been turned towards me, but not much I could about it.

Hi Christopher, Agree with Al about cropping more into a pano. The sections of grass in the backround are interesting but would of preferred the one section not merging with the frog's head. Interesting image and would like to see more...

Thanks Dave. Those are actually pine needles in the BG, and, yes, I agree that no merging with the frogs would have been nice. I will definitely post some more of my frog images soon.
