    Default Little Grebe plus reflection

After many days of photographing wildlife at a local lake I turned up last Sunday to see the normally rippled water surface, perfectly still and mirror like in places. I found myself photographing "standard" subjects as the reflections added that something extra.

Here is a Little Grebe to show you the sort of effect that was presented.

    Canon 1DMK4, 500mm, 1.4X converter, f6.3, 1/3200 ISO800.

    C&C welcome

    Cheers

    Austin:

Attractive bird, nice still water, sharp reflection.
Normally the reflection is darker than the subject, perhaps 1/2 stop or so. This one seems even darker than usual.

Normally I would feel this is perhaps too centered on the horizontal midline, but works well with reflection shots.

    Cheers

Good-looking bird, nice reflection and head angle. I might sharpen the bird a bit more and it could go a bit brighter for my taste.
