Default Once Sailing the Waves, Now Below Them

This image was taken in Kona, Hawaii where we took an underwater tour on the submarine Atlantis. The image is of a is a sailboat the burned and sunk during the last century. Now it is home to the reef fish that lost their coral reefs in this area.

Being a diver, sailor and interested in submarines, it was a must do as we did not have time for a dive and my wife is not certified. It was sad that the boat met the fate it did and lies in water that is not pristine, as many of the waters around the islands are. But it was a great tour. All passengers have window views of the undersea world during the tour.

I didn't have an undersea filter with me and also had to shoot through the sub windows, but I feel the blue color adds to the effect of the depth and environs.

Modifications included; Topaz Clean 2, Topaz Detail 2 and in CS4; Poster Edge and Vibrance & Saturation adjustment.

    Enjoy!

Hi Mark, I like the image and the effect. The blue color does add to the effect and feel of the underwater environment. Very nice use of filters.

Mark, Awesome look. The blue adds to the underwater feel and helps make it look a bit abstract. One of my favorites of yours.:)
