Welcome to BPN, John! I like the soft light, sharpness and wide-open mouth. I find the bird a bit tight in the frame and might remove the dropping in the lower right.

Thanks for the great feedback. I'll have to take a look at the original and see why I cropped it so close. It could have been because there were branches in the way of leaving a little more room. This is great to get constructive feedback! :)
Great detail and open beak pose. Nice to see one of these guys with a woodsy habitat - usually see them on traffic lights. On my screen the face looks a bit dark and might benefit from a little lightening.
