Hi Ken - love the pose - couple of things come to mind - lets see what our brothers and sisters have to say.

    Also love pose.
I'm not sure about BG. Sometimes I think it is fine since it does not detract from bird. Yet perhaps wish the BG were different, but don't now what would be reasonable. Or what to do in PP to change it. And still be "honest" with the image. I'll play with it some.

The pose looks great! Exposure looks good, lots of nice detail in the feathers.
I would love to see what this looks like from an even lower angle that's shooting up at the bird and slightly round to the left. I think that would allow for more of the body of the bird to be seen as well as some of the underside of the feathers.

i could care less about the head angle here. it's fishing! but, the wing is shadowing the eye which i think takes away from the image. as mentioned, the lower capture angle would have worked better too. exposure looks good and i like the light too.

It's a great action shot of the bird just doing its thing...
I agree with Mark on the the lower angle if it were possible, I think this would make the background further OOF and probably solve the patchy colours I can see above the bird. As it stands, I would maybe try some smoothing of the background above the ripples anyway..

Hi Ken Would like seeing a little more space, the water circle is tight in frame. PS wise would lighten head just a bit more and get rid of the shiny spots on legs !! Made a good one !!!
