    this was a tough day of shooting! waves reak havoc with AF on a camera and there were plenty this day! keeper count goes down, big time!!

    D300, 50-500 at 500mm, f/8, 1/2500s, ISO 640, manual exp.

    Like the sharpness and eye contact. Obviously too bad about the lower mandible being obscured.

    Nice moment in nature action shot. Panning technique looks solid - TFS.

    Like the wing position, exposure, and composition. The lower mandible tip would put this over the top.

    Hi Harold - looking good!! - Bet you wished that bottom wave wasn't there - like the pose - good sharp clear eye and sweet light.

    Hi Harold, the lighting was great and as stated you have a good view of the eye. Good detail and wing position!
    Agree about the lower mandible but it's a keeper in my book...
