    Default Black-striped sparrow

    Hello all,

Not had that much time recently to either participate in the forum or process photos. However, here is one of a black striped sparrow (Arremonops conirostris) from a recent trip to Panama.

Still very much learning so appreciate any c&c.

Lovely image. Great feather detail on the bird, nice bokeh in the background. A touch CC rotation might work for me. Also wouldn't mind a little more canvas on the right side and the bottom if you have it. Good work.

agree with bob's recommendation of adding canvas. i would all around if you have it. i would run some noise reduction on the bg also. love the soft light. nice detail in the bird, too. that eye looks great!!!

Hi Ben You did well with the tech settings raising the ISO for a reasonable shutter speed and came up with a sharp image. Tough lighting conditions, fill flash would have helped. Would like seeing the bird a little brighter but more exposure would have blown the light areas on the bg. Possible the main thing is being just a little tight in frame as mentioned !!! Agree with all points above !!! Very good image !!!

Ben - agree with all of the above - just that touch of fill flash - just enough to illuminate the bird would have transformed this.
Lots to like here as pointed out above:)
    Keep em coming.

Great detail and composure with great eye contact. Another vote for more room around. tone down the white blotch in the lower rt might also help

I am have space to add canvas to the right but not below. I will also see if I can do anything with those bright rocks.
