    Default Kiboku bag

I sent an email to GURA gear with regards to their Kiboko bag, but unfortunately didnt get a reply. Hence my question here:
Does anyone know whether their Kiboko bag would be allowed onboard the commuter plane between Denver and Bozeman?
    Many thanks

I would suggest having the measurements available and call the particular airline you are flying on.

    Rene,
It's been a while since I flew from Denver to Bozeman, so I can't comment on the specific plane. If you fly this often, try making a measurement next time. I've found commuter planes to have pretty small overhead bins. Some, if I remember right measure about 7-inches when normal carry on is 9 inches. I have had to remove things, like a laptop to get them to fit. It will also depend on how stuffed your bag is. Under the seat is usually better, but if you put your bag there, you really have no leg room. Putting your bag in the check at the door of the plane is not too bad in my opinion.

Depends on the plane. According to Andy Biggs, the Kiboko will fit in the overhead bins of most commuter planes with the exception of the ERJ. Even on the ERJ, I'm told it will fit under the seat in front of you (but may stick out by a couple of inches, however you'll still have room for your feet).

    Rene-

Just saw this post thanks to a friend who notified me of the thread. We did reply back to you, so I suspect our email either got caught in a spam filter or it just is still hanging out in la-la land.

The Kiboko bag will fit on regional jets, and the only issue that we know of for any bag is the ERJ series of aircraft. The overhead opening in that aircraft is a stingy 7 inches, which is very limiting. The Kiboko bag is 8.5 inches deep, and ERJ aircraft have an 8.5 to 9 inch opening down by your feet.

I hope this helps! Please email me offline if you have any additional questions. andy@guragear.com.

I agree with Roger, gate check your gear in this bag. Have done so on very small planes without problem, it's surprising how robust this pack is and how much protection it provides. As Andy has indicated, contact him - he's a great guy and basically designed this pack for his own use, he'll answer any questions you might have.
