    Charlie good capture to find this bird out in the open. I like the exposure and colours on the bird but would wish for a bit more head turn towards the camera.

    Perhaps I'll see one of these this year.

    Wonderful to see this little Sora out in the open. Lovely detail and BG and I too would like to see a tad more head turn. Many thanks for sharing Charlie.

    I agree for a better HA, and if at all possible at this location a lower angle would have been great. The reflection is not very strong, and for that reason cropping more from the bottom would be an option - perhaps to above the lowest yellow bill reflection (and then a bit at top to balance it out). Nice to see one so much out in the open!!

    Lovely image, it's very similar in colour and shape to a Crake we get here. Lots of nice detail and colour through the bird. These birds photograph really well in very low angles.
