    Saturday we were out on an Audubon bird walk when the eiders that were in front of us on a pond decided to fly to the ocean. I missed the first ones because I was using my binoculars, but the the next few groups coming by. Nikon D300s Sigma 150-500
    150-500mm @ 500mm
    750mm (in 35mm film)
    1/2000 sec, f/6.3
    Mode: Manual
    Metering: Multi-segment
    ISO: 400
    AF mode: AF-C
    White balance: AUTO
    Flash: Off

    Nice to have male and female in the frame. I wish the male's far wing were higher up and I would tone down the highlights more.

    Thanks Axel for your comments I toned down the highlights. of the series I captured of the eiders flying I like this one the best since they were coming toward me. Other have them in front with the wings down. Here is the re-post
