    600mm, f/7.1, SS 1/3200, ISO 800. Lightened around the eye a bit in PS. This is a very slight crop off the left side. I did make a version with a tighter crop but kind of liked this one.

    These are difficult birds to get the eye, whites, and blue tones. I think you did a good job with that.
    I do like the comp and detail/sharpness of the bird.
    The perch looks a bit bright to me. Also, if mine, I might not lighten the eye/eye area as much and I would add a bit of saturation to the blues (or maybe the blacks are off slightly?).

    Nick I like the pose with the open bill. The colours look a little off to me but it's hard to tell on my uncalibrated office monitor.

    I like the pose and open bill. It looks like the wings are a little washed out. I just took some pictures of these guys on Saturday and the wings look darker in my pictures.
