Thanks guys, I really appreciate the input! This was the top right corner of the frame in the original, so I tried this crop to see if it worked. I don't think it did.;) :D
This is fairly sharp and the exposure is good, but even if you had frame it properly, the near-wing position as here would not have been pleasing. Once the bird is in the zone, you need to two or three images and hope for a good wing position: wings full up or wings full down.
