    Got the pose I always wanted :)

    I cloned out a goose reflection in the BG...

    Great pose and you got the colors in the cheek to show at least some, something not always possible.
    Great back/forground.

    any technical details about the snaps (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, lens/focal length etc)... ?

    You are killing me with these duck shots Jan! What a terrific pose, and perfect control over the blacks and whites. Great low angle and BG. On my monitor it does look like you could up the midtone contrast a bit more, otherwise totally perfect. Congrats!

    I like seeing these guys fitting fitting within the dynamic range !!! Great Agree on the mid-tone contrast I like it a lot !!!

    I looked really hard and I approve since I assume the duck swims upstream. :D

    Great angle, details and water colors. The open bill adds to it.

    You captured the pose that I've always wanted! Really an outstanding image. The composition, the alert pose and wide open eye while the wood duck is calling comes together very nicely. Great work, Jan.
