Hi Ken It was a rainy day but at least you got some images !!!

I know you are shooting in manual and there are no compensation but would be helpful if you could say how you set up the exposure? Manual is good but you need to know what to meter on and make changes as the light changes, might want to give Av a try and see how it goes, at least will teach you compensation which you can translate to manual later.

Image is a bit dark, with high ISO images you need to nail the exposure to keep the noise down. I like the pose and crop selection !!

Hi Ken - agree with AL'S fine critique - I use Aperture priority a lot of the time - only tend to go manual when I know the BG is going to be changing - IE: BIF. Just find the exposure compensation really easy to use and as the light changes -just changing the compensation works well.
    Keep em coming :)

    Ken,

Greetings. Nice moment... looks like dancing in air. Maybe a bit more space on top would work.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Thanks Al, Lance and Dave (and Michael for liking the shot),
To answer how I set the exposure...took a couple of practice shots and saw that they were so dark that I couldn't even see the image...and then changed the settings....so I guess the time has come, now that I have been practicing getting flight shots to start to learn about photography and understand the technical stuff that the camera is capable of. I only cropped a little bit on the left side of this pic....the GBH was so close to me that it filled the frame from top to bottom...and I thought I had my best shot yet . Time to hit the books.
