    This is one of the more common yard-birds (at least around my yard). They are a most confiding bird; good for photography.

    I descided not to take too much from the material in the perch.
    PP: crop, dodge burn, levels for contrast, chan mix for sat.

    EXIF

    Mark, just wondering if this was a set up perch? If it was I would have tried to keep the perch in one focus plane so that the branch at the back wasn't oof. However, if it was a captured on what was available, not much you can do.

    The image appears a little dull on my monitor but that could be fixed fairly easily, I'm sure. Like the highlight in the eye. Nice bird and I like the position in the frame.

    Mark, you havent mentioned if this is set up in your yard. If so, I would remove some of the lesser twigs and the leaves. Good placement in the frame, and I agree a tad more contrast will boost this.
