More accurately, they were both there but I didn't have enough DoF, so I made two images and dropped one sharp goose on top of the oof one.

Can you tell which? If so what gives me away?

Just trying to see how I did. I'll give the answer away later.

I am not getting an image. I am interested to see how it looks.

My guess would be the far goose, as the water immediately surrounding it is more OOF than the goose itself at an equal distance.

I would have to guess and I would say the closest one because of the wake in front of the bird, but that just a guess. They both look nice and sharp!

The "rear" bird looks wrong to me for the same reason that Scott mentioned...the DOF of the image and the sharpness of that bird just do not jive.

Top goose along with what has been said a tiny bit of odd marks where goose body meets water..Man had to really look close, nice job!

Thanks everyone. The top goose, one farthest from me, is the one I added. I had the most trouble getting the reflection to look right so what I ended up with was a bit of reflection from the original oof goose and a bit copied from the other frame.

Good point about the water around the added bird not being as sharp as expected.

    Thanks again.

I would just like to add, I doubt very much I would have spotted anything if I wasn't actively looking for it, I think the merge works really well overall and the PS is great.

Jim, I think you did a good job too! I really had to search , altho once I discovered something, now I see it with no trouble at all! You did some cloning or some kind of adding to the water in the left 3rd of the image. There are some clone marks and repetitive patterns. Would probably not be noticed unless someone was really studying the image.

You're right. I should have mentioned that I added some canvass, but I was afraid it would tip people off to which bird was added.

I see the one big dark repeat that gives it away.

    Thanks
