    Default 30" Monitor Recommendations

I am thinking of getting a 30" Monitor and I would like to know what 30" Monitors people are using out there.
My first thoughts are of a Apple 30" but I am open to suggestions.

    NEC?
    HP?
    DELL?

Please tell me what 30: Monitor you use.

I also have a Dell 3007__ (forget the letters at the end). The dell reportedly uses the same LG LCD panel as the Apple cinema. Maybe LG supplies all the 30" panels???

30-inch monitors have been out for years now. When are we going to get a 40-inch 8-megapixel display?

I wish the diplays would keep up with the megapixels.;)

In the meantime, the 30-inchers are amazing.

I am using the Apple Cinema Display 30" and really like it. Beautiful colors and nice "Apple" design.

Hmmm...Just bought a new computer (i7..very fast) with a 24" display and I thought I was overdoing it on the display size... apparently not.

    Hmmmm...2

Have had an Apple for almost seven years, but you cannot do a proper calibration as the channels are fixed. Depending on how much you want to spend, end result & do you want to calibrate it, take a look at this:

Hope this will soon be on it's way.:)

Another thought is the rumored Real Soon Now (tm) Apple 27" replacement for the 30. Supposed be the same panel as the 27" iMac, which would mean LED backlight, 2560x1440 (30 is 2560x1600), glossy glass (which I'm really looking forward to). I happen to be one of those who loves the glossy 17" MacBook screen, others hate it.

A Dell 30" on sale can be had at a reasonable price and works fine for me.
