Living in the UK, I have to accept that for a large proportion of the time, light is not on my side. As a photographer on dull days , I either work on the computer, read or dust off the flash guns and provide my own light.

Here is a Robin photographed using multiple flash guns in my back garden on a dull and overcast day. This is one of many hundreds of failed attempts as I am releasing the shutter using a standard cable release from inside the house.

    C&C welcome.

    Cheers

    Austin

    Canon 1DMK3, 70-200mm lens, f11, 1/200. Multiple flash guns.

Interesting capture. The wings look like silk. It sure seems like you got the technical side figured out. I am thinking that having the wings in the up position would make the image more attractive.

Well done! I wish for less of a shadow on the head. I guess that's from a flash behind the bird?

    Thanks for sharing!
