This is another Black-tailed Godwit from my recent trip in early morning light.
This is about 50% crop from the original image. 18 MP really are great for cropping.

    EOS 7D, 4/500 + 1.4x, 1/640, ISO 200, f5.6, taken from car on bean bag.

Cool pose, good sharpness and eye contact. It looks a bit dark on my monitor and I would try to get more details in the blacks.

Excellent Markus, love the stretched wings, BG is nice and pose is perfect. details are good too, would like to see a bit sharper and brighter. Personally I would have gone up to ISO 400 for more SS, it can quickly turn into action with these guys. TFS

Here is one with more details in the blacks, a little more exposure and a little more sharpening.

Arash, I agree with going up to 400 would have been better. A few moments later two birds mated (next image to be shown here). Fortunately I god some sharp ones.

Repost is very good. I like the wing position in this light but would try to remove the sharpening halo on the leading edge of the far wing
