    Beautiful bird and colors. BG a bit distracting and would have liked a lower angle if possible.
    Great detail in the plumage and sweet light.

    Good looking individual! These guys are easier to photgraph during the winter with the snow covering the forest floor debris. Sometimes tamer individuals (like this one seems to be) will readily take seeds, where you can place them in an open area. Good sharpness, and as Fabs points out, good light too (just wish the shadow wasn't as pronounced). Perhaps also a bit tight in the frame, but I suspect you may have wanted to minimize further distractions.
