    Default Reddish Egret

Got this flamboyant Egret doing his Mick Jaggar routine. :p

Taken with the Canon MkIV and 500mm at 1/640, f8, ISO 640 handheld.

    Thanks for looking :)

    Bill:

Colors of bird and background play together well. The pose and head angle very nice.

I would consider leaving room below for the virtual feet, move the bird a bit more left in the frame and do a bit more selective sharpening on head/eye and neck feathers.

Very nice as is, just some options to consider.

Really like the color of the bird and the background. Also like the way the wind is blowing some of the feathers.

Hi Bill Good advice from Randy and fully agree.

Tech wise would suggest to trade aperture for speed, if you want to hand hold might raise up more. Sure like the pose and good call on the tittle !!

Cool hairdo, water color and sharpness look good, too. I wish the head were angled toward you a bit more and agree about more room at the bottom.

    Bill,

Love the composition and windy look. Agree on selective sharpening on face. I am alright with the legs cut like they are, I like the total look and feel of the picture.

This is pretty much a repeat....but I do love the expression and especially the colors. Just a little bit more room for those legs and feet. Well done.
