Default Angry Neighbours - Avocet and Gull

I am not sure what all of the fuss was about, but this Gull was not impressed by the presence of the Avocet below.

It kept diving down towards the Avocet, but never came anywhere near making any sort of contact. Lots of noise alerted me to the action. I wish the gull had come a little lower to connect the two subjects more than they are already.

Posted for your interest more than for critique but C&C welcome.

Interesting behavioral capture, Austin. Looks like typical aggressive attitude of a laughing gull in mating plumage, but with an avocet? Gull looks very sharp, avocet a tad less so. Maybe we should have a separate BPN forum on interspecies interactions... TFS.

Ageed, an interesting behaviour image and like you, I wish the two subjects were on the same plane and not so far apart. TFS

Makes you really wonder what the gull's problem is. :) Maybe it's about the territory. The interaction makes this one for me.
