    It is a juvi BCNH. light is excellent and love the details, BG is nice too. I see some vertical bands in the BG as a result of NR or compression, would redo that part.

    Hi Don - looking good - BG is good - Good HA and eye contact, sweet light and exposure looks good.
    Might have tried a vertical here as well. Some NR on the background would help smooth a little.

    Nice even lighting, good detail, composition, nice clean background. Well done! On my monitor it might need a bit of a contrast boost. To me, at least, I would ID it as a juvenile yellow-crowned night heron, although the definitive markers aren't visible, such as leg length, and the eye color could have shifted due to the morning light. regards~Bill

    I believe that I am going to have to agree with Bill.. I believe that this is a Juv. Yellow-crowned Night Heron also..

    Agree with Bill on ID. It's very easy: Yellow crowned juvies have a black bill. Black crowned juvies have a yellow lower bill.

    If I may, I'd suggest you get Artie's Digital Basics for an easy work flow in post processing.
