Very nice DOF and details on the insect, Michael. I like the diagonal line that the black/white division creates but I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking at in the BG. The bug feels a little centered to me also and where's the rest of his back legs???

    Hey Michael,
Tough with that lens....especially on a moving subject. You nailed the exposure but agree with Jules....need those creepy back legs!

    Thanks everyone.

Julie- the BG is water and the detritus that is floating on it.

Hey Roman- Yeah... they were scooting around like crazy and I was pushing 2x. Unfortunately I never got a clear image of the whole mosquito when it was one the water.

    I got this one though...
