    took this in the middle of March 2010,the Redshank stood on this island in this pose asking to be photographed.cannon 50d,1/400sec,f8.0.,+2/3ec,iso640,tripod,cropped.I know I could have cropped more,but wanted to inclued island.thanks.

    Christopher, I like your inclusion of the island. I do wish the birds head was turned a bit more towards us. Nice details and I like that you have gotten the feet. Are the legs really that orange? I have never seen one in person.:)

    denise,thanks for your comments,the legs on these birds are really this orange,why they call them redshanks,I dont know.

    good composition. good detail might highlight the eye just a little. Overall a very pleasing image.
