    Default Spoonie

I was out at Merritt Island yesterday where there was a fair bit of activity. This roseate spoonbill gave me some nice photo opportunities atop this greenery. Taken with the Nikon D300 and Nikon 500 f/4, f/7.1, iso 640, 1/1000 attached to The Quick Action Harness.

    Nancy:

A particularly handsome spoonie, pretty much peak color to my eye.

Sharp, well exposed. Nice to see him/her in a tree with clean background.

    Did you use flash here?

    Cheers

    Randy

Randy thanks! No I did not use flash. The light was just about perfect, just slight thin layer over the sun.

Hi Nancy, it was nice to meet you at Gatorland! Your Spoonie is lovely in that soft light, great detail and I like the inclusion of the habitat. I worked at getting a similar image while in Florida but never got all the elements together just right, I guess that means I'll have to come back next year.:)
