    Default Tree Swallow

I was out yesterday trying for Bluebirds, but the high winds kept them at bay. So I went with the next available option.

    Nikon D300 ~ Nikkor 300mm F/2.8 w/Nikon 1.4x TC on tripod
    ISO 200 ~ F/7.1 ~ 1/800 sec ~ -1/3 EV

Lovely subject, composition and perch. Like the dorsal view, since we have a perfect head turn. Bicolor BG goes well with image.

Very nice Mike! Agree that the BG works well also....looks very much like what we get here in Jersey. Pussywillow? perch is a real nice one too!

This is a great image! Awesome perch, pose and looks like you nailed the exposure on the white. I see some strange lines in the BG.
