White-tailed Sea Eagle and Japanese crane.

This is full frame to the pixel w/o alteration of any kind, as luck would have it I had the 1.4x on when the eagle came in close to the crane... Arghhh! Perhaps, next year.
I still think I will keep this one ;)

Awesome shot, even with the 1.4x one. Great action and awesome pose in the crane.
Do you know if the eagle just wanted some food close to the crane or if the eagle tried to eat the crane itself (here in Germany, White-tailed Eagles have been observed attacking and killing Common Cranes)

Agree...awesome. Bummer for being so close. Still, great interaction and behavior. Well done.

Fantastic action here, and full frame is another bonus! This will make a great large print for sure!

    Thanks for sharing.

Amazing behavior captured here. If you were patient and careful with the details I'm sure you could add some canvas on the top and the left to at least get the full body of the eagle in the frame. This is such an awesome shot nonetheless and I'm glad you shared it with us.

Chas just a WOW!! All the action is in the middle so no mind about the sides. The birds aligned just right for you even with the f/6.3. So well done!!

Killer shot. You nailed the action regardless of the 1.4

    Hey all,

The eagle was trying to take a fish away from the crane.

    Chas...

Nobody in their right mind when looking at this would feel that it was not superbly framed, even though little bits are clipped. (meaning viewers other than yourself!)

I can only wish for such an opportunity to travel and see this, let along create an image of it.
