    Default Breeding Egret in Habitat

I was taken by this breeding Great Egret sitting near its nest, surveying the scene with a window in the foliage behind. Taken late in the day.

I like the pose, habitat and display of feathers, well done! but the image is soft and noisy.

Hi Milt - like the display and the pose. Feels a tad tight at the bottom - some additional sharpening to the bird and some NR on the BG will help.
The whites on the back and the top of the head are blown (no detail) might be able to recover with a linear burn layer - or reconvert from your RAW file.
Dont know if the olympus has the ability to turn on overexposure warnings - so you can see at a glance if anything is over.
    Keep em coming :)

Hi Milt...You have captured an excellent pose here but the image needs some technical improvements as noted above. I especially like the slayed feathers and the framing of the bushes. I look forward to your next post!

Hi Milt, Arash and Lance have excellent comments. However, I do like the way the image is framed with the OOf backround. The wing display enhances the pose greatly.

I agree with comments above, but you have captured a really great pose and i like the way the bird is framed by the foliage.
