    Good Morning:

Taken yesterday morning at Nickerson Beach before the fog rolled in! Nice to see Roman and the Jersey crew.

    D-300, 300 2.8VR, 1.7x, ISO 800, f/5.6, 1/1000.

    Comments and suggestions welcomed.

    Thanks.

    Hi Bob,

I also like the preening pose. I like the low angle of capture as it provides me a feeling of contact with the bird. In my opinion, the dark band that interests with the bird in the upper left hand corner is mildly distracting. Perhaps toning them down or eliminating them (if within your personal ethics) might be an option.

Overall a nice image. Thanks for sharing.

Bob, Beautiful preening pose and very nice sharp details. I like the low angle also. The framing seems a bit tight to me. Hope to see you out there soon!:)Very nicely done.

Nice pose and I like the soft light. If it were mine, I might remove the horizontal brown line left of the neck, sharpen the bird more and desaturate the bill a bit.

    Hi Bob

Agree with suggestions ... would also give it a little more room on the right side and tiny less on the left ... great crowd you ran into :)

Lovely Preening pose, agree on bill and a bit less space to the left. Ditto brown line.

    Hey Bob,
Man that fog was killer! Nice to see you pulled something out! Following the above recommendations will only help improve this one! Looking forward to the next few months with these guys!
