    Default Cormorant taking off

This one caught me by surprise. I was taking images of it fishing , so I had selected a lens combination suitable for the head ( and hopefully fish ) sticking out of the water.
Without notice it somehow climbed out of the water, ran along the surface before taking off. The first images were badly clipped due to the long lens. Eventually it was further away when this image was recorded.

    C&C welcome.

    Happy Easter,

Nice timing and I like the light clearly showing the eye. The bright water droplets enhance the action. The top edge does not bother me, though I suspect some may prefer a more homogeneous appearance.

These are the situations where one might want to have a 4/200-500 :)
Great action. I like the wing pose, the water drops in the air and the position of the feet.

I like the pose, it looks as if the bird is jumping. I might give it a bit more room on the left and it could go a tad brighter for my taste.

I really like this action, especially that it is nearly air borne but still dragging it's tail. I also think it could be a wee bit lighter.

Lovely action, and good exposure on a bird that does not offer a lot of leeway exposure-wise!
