    Default Great Blue Love

I know the Venice Rookery is not the best place to shoot in the evening but i did see the opportunity to make some silhouettes. After patiently waiting for about 1/2 an hour i was pleased to see this in the viewfinder.

In the original file there were so many flies buzzing about! There were also a few offending twigs between the two love birds and behind the GBH on the right. Slight crop for composition. Set WB to shade in post and added a slight vignette.

    Is the color too much?

    Thanks in advance. :)

I am just a begginer but seems slightly off center. I think the pro's will probably tell us to
get rid of some of the foliage....Other than that, nice siluette!

Very simple yet dramatic comp! Agree about centering but the foilage does not bother me. Seems to add to the image.

I really like this one. I think a vertical crop would work quite well here as there is a lot of empty space on the right and some on the left. I definitely like the warm orange against the silhouetted herons.

I think it might be a bit wide for a vertical. I might try a square crop on this. It is a beautiful silhouette well worth working on.

    Thanks for all the critique!

the original was almost centered. i cropped as to move the birds out of center.

I will try a square crop but Joe. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
