Neat pose, good use of DOF and interesting crop idea. I wish the light were a bit less harsh and would tone down the legs some more.

I use this crop because the bird is moving, and I just want to give it space to follow it's movement.
Thanks for the comments, better to go earlier, avoid to burn both legs, the color on the leg it loss was transfered to my legs...
    all the best

    Hi Manuel,
I also like the pose. The head angle provides good eye contact. I especially like the interaction of the feet and the water. The splash and resulting water drops add interests in my opinion. The light does appear a bit harsh but, you seemed to handle it pretty well.
I like your sense of humor. It brought a smile as I read your description of you legs. All kidding aside, I would caution you to use sun screen or to wear protective clothing as I have lost a friend to skin cancer. OK no more preaching.
Nice image, and thanks for sharing.

Interesting crop, nice walking pose, HA and I love the water drops. Light was indeed harsh, but we know how light is mostly in Mexico :-). Well done, Manuel.
