    Captured this great blue heron in Colorado this morning. Thanks for looking.

    Canon 1D Mark2
    500mm f/4L with 1.4 extender
    f/6.3 1/640sec ISO125

    Nice light, composition and eye contact. I don't mind the relatively busy BG in this one. It needs about 1 degree CW rotation.

    BG works well for this image. love the detail and the reflection. I might take a little off the bottom as I feel it would make for a better balance. Just my 2 cents.:o

    Beautiful, Dan. Subject is nice and sharp and the color of the bg really makes this work well.

    Personally, i think the BG is a little busy. I would blur it a little just to take the edge off. Agree with Axel about the need for some rotation.

    Love the complete reflection and really like the play of light on the GBH from the reflected light on the water.
