    Default Whooping Crane

Best I've gotten of these so far. I keep trying, though. I cloned off his radio transmitter. You'd think with modern technology we could outfit these poor birds with something that didn't resemble a WW1 walkie-talkie. As you can tell, I had drizzly, overcast conditions. Just made the best of it and got what I could. The OOF foreground weed in front of his foot is annoying, but overall it's a keeper I think. I'll definitely keep after them, though.

Excellent shot, it would be a winner except for the leg.

    Hey Bob,

I like the pose and soft light. You did well cloning the antenna. I have an image that you don't see the antenna from my las trip to Joe Overstreet. I would add more sharpening to this image.

Great opportunity to photograph this species. I wish for more head turn and too bad about the OOF grass in the foreground.
