This was captured at a local park, I pressed peanuts into the bark of the tree and aligned them in order to providea complimentary background when the bird came to feed.

Like the clean background and the open beack. Nice light and color as well.

Like the pose, color and sharpness. Also like the open beak. Good classic pose. Looks like some kind of PS issues along the left edge and upper right of the bark? Did you blur the BG?

Wonderful pose and Bg. Also love the detail. Might take some off the bottom.

    Nice composition and clean BG.

It seems like your DOF is slightly front focused?

I think i would have used a slightly smaller aperture and sacrificed some shutter speed or raised my ISO.

Thanks for the feedback, the light was changing constantly so I had to change the ISO every few minutes, as you might expect he was very active, I checked the focus point, it was slightly to the right of the shadow on his chest.

    Morning Jonathan,

A very nice image of the Nuthatch. I like the BKGR as well. The beak looks like it is pre set to remove a peanut sized object from the tree ! Well caught.

    Cheers
