    This pelican was being very considerate by bathing next to us on Tampa Bay when we were out with James Shadle. I like the low perspective that comes from being in the water with waders and tripod.:D

    I really love the symmetry, and full front perspective of this shot. Very well caught,,,, hmm waders eh? The glamorous side of bird photography.;)

    Defintely one of the more unusual pelican shots I've seen in ages. Nice!

    The angle that you captured the bird plus the crop makes this an attractive image for me.
    The wings and the small touch of tail on both sides of the bird plus the eye contact are also nicely done.
    On my monitor the front area looks soft but that may be the type of bird feathers or that they are wet(?) - the eyes look sharp.

    Katie, very nice!! I love the symmetry and the details are great.
    Regarding waders - I am off to Holland in 10 days time for some photography - with WADERS!!! :eek::D

    Really like the head on view and the outstretched wings. Like the overcast light as well.
