    This Grebe is not seen often in our area (though the Eared and Pied-billed are fairly common), so I feel lucky to have got this image just yesterday -- a first for me. Hope you like it. Is it too soft?

    Hi Wendell Congrats on catching this beauty !!!! Sharpness wise is not bad, they all have a funky looking and can work the pupil !! Think you should have compensated about -2/3, whites are a bit hot ... I know its hard to get detail on the shadows for these .. but soft light is about the only way 1!!

    Good placement on frame and like the direct look !!!

    hi Wendell - agree with AL - soft light - if only the birds would only come out in soft light - HEY :)

    Hi Wendell, agree with above comments and would only add I wished for a lower shooting angle. Very interesting bird!
