    Default Black-Headed Gull (Project)

    Hi

Our most common gull of which there are thousands locally in the winter. This was taken on the small model boating lake which they have demolished but fortunately a new one is being built which may be even better for bird photography.

    Taken with 1Dmk3 and 500mm lens at ISO400 F4.5 at 1/2000s

    Cheers

Rich, this is a great shot. Wonderful wing pose, great light. And the splashing water is fantastic.

The light, the pose and the water splash all come together for a very nice image...especially the light!

Great light and I like the spray of the water.
