    Sometimes lightning can tap you on the shoulder and let you know your to close.Didn't know it was that close until editing.

    Hey Daniel,
    You are very lucky to be even posting this! Funny thing is you aren't ever really totally safe when photographing lightning.....even if you are miles away from it......so this close is definitely pushing it a bit too far. Ideally I wish for a bit more seperation between the central tree and the lower bushes/trees. I also wish the bolt didn't leave the frame where it did....but what the heck.....it was that close! This could have been one of the leaders.....not quite sure but you definitely were very fortunate with this one!

    Wow, glad you are with us. I too have had my close calls with lightning. I like the comp you chose with the trees, just wish the lightning cooperated and filled the empty space better. =)
