    Long-billed Curlew

I was happy to find some Curlews moving through the tall grasses in search for food the spring flowers were the added plus as I waited till the Curlew moved close enough to get them in the frame.

Beautiful James. Agree the habitat and flowers makes it! I like the subtle peek-a-boo effect. For me I need more room at the top to stop me thinking the bird is in a room with low ceilings. I tried it in Ps and it worked for me.

Nice bird James. I love the flowers and the fact that you left room for the bird's "legs but I'll agree with John about wanting some more room for the bird's head.

James, great habitat shot, beautiful moment in nature. More on top IMO as well - nice one.

Nice job regarding contrast and colors.

    Hey James,
Agree with the above comments that the habitat adds to the overall appeal greatly! The curved patch of flowers leads you very nicely to the bird and the colors and contrasts are very, very, nice!
