Eye contact, sharpness and soft light look good. I would give it more room on the right.
Please also take the time to comment on other images, it's a matter of fairness.

I'm new here, so I don't feel very confident commenting on images, but as you said Axel, it's fair play!
I love the image, the pose is fantastic, still agree that a little more room to the right would improve it, I also thing a bit more of DOF would make the bird come out more.
