    Default Juvie White Ibis

Anxious to join in, I just grabbed an image from the weekend for my first avian post.

The lake where I shoot often still has a small group of ibis hanging out all winter, very unusual here in NW La.

    Taken a little after 6 in the evening. 1/400", F/8, AV, ISO 400, -.33ev, 400 w/1.4x tc

thank you very much for c/c

    HI David,

Love the low angle. I would rather have the head turned this way but you did well with exposure and details. I also love the plumage.

    Hi Dave, and welcome!
I do like the colors and the composition here-as Maxis said--a bit more head turn--but excellent exposure and detail.
    More please!

Welcome, Dave! I like the setting, exposure control and details and only wish for a bit more head turn towards you.

    thanks for all the input.
About head turn.....is it compositional or is it for showing awareness?

    thank you
