    Default Common Birds Projects

Here is a common bird...a very elegant one in my opinion. Last time I posed one of these hunting pelican images the some comments were missing the eye contact. Here is a new one with the eye visible, and in this shot another bird deeper in the water. Thanks for looking.

I like the behavior and color of the water and wish we could see the heads of both birds.

Amazing bird (I envy the fact that you can consider it common!). I would have liked to see more of the right bird's head, but the action on this shot is great.

I like the action you captured, Lorant - it isn't easy to time this just right - I've tried - many times. I also like the soft light and the color of the water. Unless pelicans now have more than 2 wings, there is a third bird behind the one on the left. :) As an alternate crop, you could make a vertical comp of just the bird on the right.

Nice seaside colors and interesting to note the changing position of the wings between the two. I also wish to see more of the heads but would be glad to have this one.
